Child beggars.

Being in KL, I spend quite a lot of time in local the tarik spots.

My favourite spot is always around Bangsar. The ever famous sweet Appam shop, Devi’s are a must for me.

And what is Bangsar with out its soft toys, cheap Parker Pen sellers, donation hunters etc ?

Being a frequent visitor I know most of the direct marketeers( that’s what they call themselves now! ) and number of Indian children who roam about Bangsar and Brickfields selling from Parker pens to soft toys and some, simply begging.

Their life story is mostly the same. They claim to be studying , and doing this direct selling to support their studies. ( good bolllywood script ).

Who are these kids? Are they really studying or are they part of some syndicate?

Only good knows.

I on my part just belanja them makan whenever I bump into them. Try it, they will strike up interesting conversation which will remain in your memory for a long long time

That’s all for now.
