All though BBUFF2008 was a “partial” let down, to point fingers fully at Putera MIC is utter stupidity.
*partial because , WE managed to get the VIP,Dato Seri Syed Hamid Albar to meet dozens of bloggers face to face first time. That’s the first step in blog-o-sphere. Getting the government to talk to bloggers.*
Putera MIC was one of the SUPPORTERS,same like MINDSBLOG. If one supporters gets the blame how about the “other” supporter , the all mighty MINDSBLOG? Unfortunatly , some of the MINDSBLOG member who try to be smart ass by condeming Putera MIC ,forgot, when we point our Index Finger to someone,the balance 3 fingers point to ourselves! Itulah “sindrom syok sendiri” I would say.
Putera MIC came in the form of Talaivar Mr.P.Kamalanathan, my brother Mr.S.Padmarajah and Myself, in the “Organising Committe”. And MINDSBLOG came in the form of Ms.R.Amutha,Mr.B.Mahendran and Mr.Puvanan.
Putera MIC 3 people. MINDSBLOG 3 people.
These 6 people were assisting Talaivar Mr.P.Kamalanathan’s friends/students in setting up Bloggers Buff 2008 under the banner of MI FEST MANAGEMENT SDN BHD.
One blogger said that he was not interested to join Bloggers Buff 2008 because Putera MIC was there!. I can only LOL*laugh out loud* . When All-Blog protem vice president Rocky’s Bru ( Ahiruddin Attan ) can join Bloggers Buff 2008 , I dont understand why these small bloggers cant attend it because Putera MIC was one of the SUPPORTERS!!
OK.. ok .. Maybe I should not compare Rocky’s Bru with small time bloggers. Maybe i’ll compare other bloggers, like Raajarox, who are “famous” in the Malaysian Indian Blog world,attended Bloggers Bufff 2008. Some of the other bloggers who attended Bloggers Buff 2008 are 100 % opposition based bloggers.
But they came because they could see beyond ONE supporter , Putera MIC.
And mainly,Because they are not blinded by any form of hatred. That is the only answer.

I never intended to comment in your blog, but now that you have pulled MIB & me in, looks like I don’t have much choice.
Yes, MIB endorsed the program, considering that 4 of the former organizing committee members (BB2007) are in MIB now. I think it’s only fair for us to admit that we were indeed a part of BB2008. And that is why we did what we could for BB2008, including making sure our members who attended the event stayed in the seminar hall till the end of the program. Mind you, these are paying participants, and did not attend the event as ‘guests’.
This post seems like a reaction to a participant’s review on the event. He might be a member of MINDSBLOG, but his post was from a participant’s point of review. As the secretary of BB2008, it would have been wiser for you to just acknowledged his comments/review, put a full stop there and bring the issues to the post-mortem meeting. It’s unfortunate that you have dragged MIB into this and jeopardise our collaboration.

As a participant, I have a few points to highlight here.
1. Both positive and negative comments should be welcomed…
So, when the participants are giving negative comments, the organizers should be able accept it and look into it, and not the condemn the person.
2. In my opinion, the event was more on the failure side. It was boring and seriously, I was expected more networking than speeches and talks.
i was one of the participants in the Go Mobile event. I had a chance to spend some time attending the BB2008 for about an hour (although i must apologize for not registering and paying the full amount).
I wonder why do you start in English and end up in an Indian language in this post. Upon asking my friend for translation, it seems you are slandering some individuals. I understand your frustration, young man.
But have you checked out the blogosphere for comments on BB2008? Some are favourable, some do not comment on anything, and quite a few have a negative perception on the event. And it is not only Indian bloggers who are criticizing the event, but bloggers from other races as well.
Compared to last year’s event (again, from the blogs), the reviews were about 99% favourable and upbeat.
I feel your anger and frustration as you have been involved in the making of this event (I’ve been there myself). The feeling of unappreciation looms. But be strong. Keep on doing what you do best.
Nevertheless, young man, do not attack your negative commenters on a personal basis as above. Calling names such as “political bitch” isn’t the mark of a gentleman. I did not read any blogs criticizing you personally, rather they criticized either the event, the guests or the organizers only.
I know that you want to defend your stand. Do so honourably. Explain what you have accomplished with Putera MIC and the event. By giving out such unkindly remarks, you are mirroring a bad attitude which will reflect badly on Putera MIC.
Nothing is subjective in politics, my friend. It is the opinion of the masses that count, and how we face the opinions. I hope you will take this as a brotherly advice.

about the bringin in crowd thingy, sadly u had to say it to the public due to some idiotic remarks made here in this posting. but i wonder hw the organising commitee member doesnt know that actually i was also invited to have a few snap shots of the event for their event portfolio. I was stopped, questioned and kinda humiliated infront of other participant to make the RM60 payment as if i sneaked into the event. well if i wanna be sarcastic, i can give the person back to get the facts rite and talk to me. but sadly, my parents taught me to respect others and my teachers taught me how to talk accordingly…
RM60 is still money, but i wouldnt wanna be a cheapskate who wanna void that sum..wtf, my MNC pays me well, sry to brag.
Oh yea, i read some of the blog out there comment abt the BB2008, kavilan had a good write up and certainly many had cheered and also critised about it. I have to agree certain points, boring….hehe, sry novin, i have to say this..and other part of his write ups had been answered partially on this blog as well i guess…

Regarding the payment, I understood what you were referring to me (given the fact that I was the one collecting fees from the participants). Unfortunately no one informed me of your position as an invited photographer for the event. A quick check with the Organising Chairman also revealed that he was unaware of such arrangement.
I was only doing my job as the treasurer as you were a registered participant (we received your registration on 16th Sept 2008 and been corresponding with the e-mail add which you have provided during the online registration).

Usually whenever I’m angry or sad, i will wait for few hours before i pen down my thoughts. In this I waited TWO days before posting this matter. Maybe my anger was still at its highest level even after two days.
Anyway, the individual i mentioned in this post,have been “banging” us lately. that’s is why i went full force in this issue. They must know ,when played with fire,there are chances of getting burnt.
As i said to others, Bloggers Buff 2008 was a partial failure,especially the second part. I agree with that.
I called them Political Bitch,because they take everything ( money,fame,material things ) from the party but try to defame the party ( MIC ) . That is quite bitchy I would say.
If you can read my other postings, I have never used these kind of words in my blog. But, they must be prepared to get spitted when they try to spit others.
