yes. humans are good in survival because they are good in adapting to changes, be it from living in cages to living in a darkroom with no access to outsite world ( READ : ISA) ..but one thing we are always afraid of is the very same changes.

we are afraid to and of changes around and within. At first we will all tend to reject the change, prefering the status quo and maintain as it is..but once the change is executed, we'l adapt to it as well.

Naa yenna solle varenaaa :P this is part of changes we are seeing from a 3000 ( or 5000 some say) year old culture and language.

;) am sure it will be a hit, but yes, the concern same with wat novin said, how will blaze pronounce the words :P

viknes : good example bro. the conservative will always try to converse, but the world will change.

According to Rahman answers to fan's questions in Kumudam, Weekly Tamil magazine, he is just gonna produce the album based on Thirukural and not going to do any music.

He also mentioned that Singer Blaaze is going to sing in carnatic base tamil music, then it is going to be converted into english rap. So the album will be in English not in Tamil.

I don't think Rahman will spoil the traditional aspect of
Thirukkural. He is doing his best for youngsters to get an insight into Indian traditions. I am sure he will come out with an amazing work.

I would like to point out that Thirukkiral isn't just Tamil Literature as is claimed by apologists; It's a Tamil Scripture in the Hindu Religion. Written by a Hindu Saint - Thiruvaluvar.

valgeh tamil, valargah tamilan...remember tamizha tamizha song by the pioneer local RnB group, apachean... remember their fate? just in case if you guys dont know, they had receive death threat from malaysian tamilian organizations for singing "agara mugathala yezhutu ellam" that thirukural in rap version. and Vaanoli 6 then now minnal fm banned their songs to be aired.
one can have enthusiasm in their mother tongue and its a must to love your own language and be proud we have one but not sharing white man's English as our mother tongue. But sometime we have to accept changes if its constructive. back to the apachean's song, did the " true" tamilan listen to the lyrics fully before they against them?I guess hell no!!! the song itself is a motivational track BUT with modern music bit. and that's what the "old pastries" cant accept and start to condemn like blind bat.crap, u can even wanna "breed" the tamilan artist but u wanna sing the praise of tamil language?
