Problem of a Personal blog

August 13th 2008 in Daily Digest

The problem with personal blogs is , we do not have a specific category to blog about. We do not have any niche category to focus . i.e : politics, tech, entertainment etc. We just concentrate on whatever revolves around our life.

And life, sometimes it’s good. Most of the times its BAD.

Readers like to read Good stuffs only. So what we do when we have BAD times ? Times when our life is too pathetic to be blogged? Times when we do not have time to blog about our lives?

Well,we create niche categories like Motivating Mondays and Tech Tuesdays! :)

Personal blogs should be kept as personal blogs. For niche categories we have many others blog.

Great ideas there!

I’m running few niche categories like that myself!

The problem with niche categories is that after a while, unless you’re an expert in the field, it becomes a chore. when it becomes a chore, blogging stops being fun, then what’s the purpose of it all?

I’ve kept to personal blogging for the past 5+ years and I’ve never really subscribed to a particular niche, save for WordPress and blogging itself because I’ve been using it for so long, I’m bound to know a thing or six. other than that. The secret of good personal blogging it just to live life and learn how to be even more creative in your writing.

After all, your personal life is a story. Why not write it like one?

Well… I have a specific niche… Social Web & Living in a DIgital Lifestyle..

But to keep it alive.. I don’t blab all the time on the niche’s..

I tend to have couple of of topic issues..

Keeping A blog personal yet delivering a niche is what fun blogging is all about…

Oooh!! Very pretty and nice blog! Awesome design you got here, love the template very much!

Regarding personal blogs blogging on Good Stuffs only, well generally people stay away from reading depressing stuffs, many even shun politically related posts, hence blogs on travel, food, sports have good following. I say, blog whatever you are comfortable with.

Keep on blogging!

Times Square Food Court - Very Clean

No words can express my disgust when I saw those dirty, oily utensils. Unfortunately we had to eat lunch using those utensils because most of the forks and spoons were EQUALLY dirty.
